Well, a couple of things to cover this week. Your favorite Cafe...uh, no the 'Dog... has been nominated for "Best Burger in Indianapolis" by Indy Channel (WRTV) A-List. It's just an honor to be nominated...Bull#$&!...we want to win! Go to http://theindychannel.com and vote for us.
We are also adding a new Bistro Special Feature this week, Roast Cornish Hens with Pearl Onions, Mushrooms and Haricot Vert, finished with a rich Pan Sauce. Now, on to...
"This Week's Special Fare"
Soup of the Day
Our Soup of the Day to begin this week is Thai Carrot-Ginger Soup. Rich with Carrots in a homemade Chicken Stock, a bit of heat from fresh Ginger, a little Coconut Milk for balance and finished with a touch Cream. The Soup is garnished with a sprinkling of toasted Coconut and fried Wontons.
And as always, we have our award-winning Tucker's Nantucket Clam Chowder, made daily with sweet tender Clams, Cream and Butter and served with Vermont Oyster Crackers.
Daily Special
Our Barking Dog Patty Melt, a customer favorite...and you know who you are, is our featured Daily Special for the week. Jeff's "thin and crispy on the edges" Burger topped with Crispy Onions and Sharp Cheddar Cheese, served on buttered and toasted Marble Rye with a dab of Special Sauce.
Or, if you haven't tried Mary Beth's "Life's a Beach" Sandwich, no time like the present! Toasted Multi-Grain Bread topped with Herb Goat Cheese, Tomatoes, Red Onion, Avocado, Cucumber and Sprouts. Personally, I prefer mine with a couple of pieces of "Bark Lard", our own in-house cured Bacon. Both Sandwiches are served with your choice of MB's Cole Slaw, Chips or a small organic Greens Salad and Overnight Pickles.
Entree Salads
Mary Beth's Salad, our featured House Salad starts with organic Field Greens topped with fresh Oranges, Apples, dried Cranberries, Red Onion, spicy sweet Pecans and a dusting of Blue Cheese. A homemade Raspberry Vinaigrette and toasted Baguette are served on the side.
Special Features
Beginning at 5:30 - 9:00, Thursday thru Saturday, we start off our Bistro offerings with an Amuse followed by a fresh Seasonal Salad. All Entrees are available to Dine-In or Take-Out along with our regular menu including Jeff's Burgers, Soups, Salads, Clams, Oysters and Frites.

Fried Oysters
Lightly floured, fried fresh East Coast Oysters with homemade Remoulade or Cocktail Sauce.
Buffalo Shrimp Cocktail
Jumbo Shrimp on a Celery-Blue Cheese Salad with Jeff's Buffalo Sauce.
Chicken "Lollipops"
Crispy fried Chicken "Lollipops" with a Honey-Chipotle Glaze
Entrees
Saute de Menuiere de Truite
Fresh wild-caught Brook Trout filets sauteed in butter, sauced simply with brown Butter, fresh Lemon Juice and Parsley The filets are served with roasted cumin-scented baby Carrots and butter poached Potatoes.
Filet de Porc enveloppes par Lard
Pancetta crusted Indiana Pork Tenderloin Filet with hints of fresh Rosemary, nicely seared to seal in the natural juices, served over butter poached Potatoes and finished with a Bacon Creme Reduction.
Roast Cornish Hen w/ Mushrooms and Pearl Onions
Butterflied and marinated Cornish Hens seared and roasted to seal in the succulent juices with Pear Onions, fresh Mushrooms and Haricot Vert, finished with a rich pan sauce
