Well, the plan...wake up and watch the Grand Prix of Monaco, eat breakfast, watch a little tv, nap..."I just talked to your Dad, you need to stake the tomato plants." Ok...WAIT, WHAT?!...I didn't sign up for this! Somebody get my agent on the phone! Son of a ... Later that day, 68 tomato plants staked, knowing that Mom is looking down thinking...'no really...what is Jeff doing out there?' To be continued...

"This Week's Special Fare"

We've done customer requests, we've done Mary Beth and server extraordinaire Abby it's my turn. One of my favorite types of cooking, French Bistro cuisine. We lead things off with Soupe Au Pistou, a Provencal Vegetable Soup. Onions, Leeks, Carrots, Zucchini, Cannellini Beans, Tomatoes and Haricots Verts simmered in a rich homemade Chicken Stock and finished with a fresh Pesto, a little Parmesan and a drizzle of good Olive Oil.

And as always, we offer our award-winning Tucker's Nantucket Clam Chowder...always a favorite request!

Daily Specials
The second, a Classic French Bistro offering...Moules a la Mariniere...Mussels steamed in White Wine with Herbs and Butter just until tender, finished with a dollip of homemade Creme Fraiche and served with Pommes Frites and crusty Bread to dab in the Broth. The perfect Bistro Lunch or Supper.

And as always, we're featuring our "Bark Lard" BLT as did Food Network's "Triple D"! Thick slices of our own in-house cured Bacon, fresh Lettuce and Jeff's homemade Tomato Jam. All sandwiches are served with your choice of MB's Cole Slaw or Chips and Overnight Pickles.

And lastly and certainly not least, Mary Beth's "Life's a Beach", features Goat Cheese, Red Onion, Tomato Jam, Avocado, Sprouts and Cucumber, served on buttered and toasted Multi-Grain Bread. Or if you prefer, for a little extra, add a couple slices of "Bark Lard".

Entree Salads
Salad Nicoise, the first of our two Entree Salad completes our Bistro offerings this week. Composed on Organic Salad Greens, Haricot Vert, Cherry Tomatoes, baby Potatoes, hard-cooked Egg, Kalamata Olives and Capers on fresh organic Salad Greens. The Salad is finished topped with Mary Beth's Tuna Salad garnished with a couple of Anchovies and served with a homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette on the side.

And Mary Beth's Salad, our featured House Salad starts with organic Field Greens topped with fresh Oranges, Apples, dried Cranberries, Red Onion, spicy sweet Pecans and a dusting of Blue Cheese. A homemade Raspberry Vinaigrette and toasted Baguette are served on the side.
