Featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives...

Well, headed downtown yesterday to take in the sites and sounds. Fantastic! We've got a lot to be proud of! And this week, we will be extending our hours, open today thru Saturday from 11:00am - 9:00pm each day! Should be an exciting week and we've got an exciting menu to match...

"This Week's Special Fare"

Soup of the Day
This seems like the perfect match-up... the Soups of the Day... although the game should be pretty good too. Representing New England, Tucker's Nantucket Clam Chowder... rich and creamy with just the right amount of Clams and Bacon. Versus New York's Manhattan Clam Chowder... loaded with Clams, Veg and Bacon, of course, in a delicious Tomato base. Dueling Clam Chowders, try a cup of both and you decide who wins! We'll see how it compares to the outcome of the game!

Daily Special
And representing Indianapolis, a Hoosier favorite, and one of mine as well... our Double-decker Pork Tenderloin! Indiana Pork Loin, the best, pounded out just right, hand-breaded and fried to a golden brown, then double-stacked Topped with whatever you like... but basically your choices are Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, Onions, Lettuce and Mayo. Me, I let it shine with Pickles, Onion and a touch of Mayo.

Our second Special offering this week, we're featuring our "Bark Lard" BLT as did Food Network's "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives"! Thick slices of our own in-house cured Bacon, fresh Lettuce and Jeff's homemade Tomato Jam. Both sandwiches are served with your choice of MB's Cole Slaw or Chips and Mary Beth's homemade Overnight Pickles.

Entree Salads
Our Entree Salad this week, Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad... I really like this Salad! Fresh baby Arugula lightly dressed with a homemade Orange Vinaigrette, call me crazy (figure of speech) but it tastes like a "dreamsicle", over a Sweet Onion Marmalade, our roasted Beets and finished with a whipped Goat Cheese and a sprinkling of crushed Pistachios.

"Not quite a wedge salad", the featured Entree Salad starts with split Romaine Lettuce garnished with fresh, ripe Avocado, Grapefruit segments, sweet and spicy Pecans and dried Cranberries, finished with crumbled Blue Cheese for a really nice combination of flavors and textures. Rob's homemade French Dressing adds the perfect compliment to the salad.
